ELDERLY CARE
Even in the later stages of life, when the brain may be struggling to function well due to illnesses such as stroke or dementia, people retain the capacity to become engaged and respond to music. This makes music a highly effective and beneficial support tool. Shared musical experiences can help ease anxiety and disorientation, unlock memories, reduce isolation and help people regain their sense of identity.

COMPLEX NEEDS
For those living with physical and mental disabilities, life can be challenging in many ways.

Playing music can act as a voice for non-verbal people, allowing them to express themselves and communicate in new ways. For those struggling to control muscles and movement, playing musical instruments and creating sound is a great motivator. Endorphins released when singing are known to link to feeling happy but singing also supports speech and language development and lung health.

NEUROLOGIC MUSIC THERAPY (NMT)
Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT)® is a research-guided clinical system that is driven by advances in neuroscience and the understanding of the perception, cognition, and production of music and how music can influence and change non-musical brain and behavior function.

Using standardised clinical techniques, NMT assists with development, rehabilitation and maintenance of bodily skills such as movement, speech, cognition and social skills that may be affected by a neurological disease or injury.
