WORKSHOPS
Bring the music to you
With over a decade of experience teaching music and leading music departments in high profile international schools including Harrow and King's College School, Clara has in depth knowledge of the music curriculum and education methodologies and techniques.

These workshops are adaptable for children of all ages and abilities, but also available to adults and have been successfully run as part of school INSET and Professional Development training or as team-building events for corporate businesses.
AFRICAN DRUMMING
The rhythms of West Africa are complex and hypnotic. Learning and playing these rhythmic patterns as a group engages multiple areas of the brain, unifies people and releases tension. This workshops also teaches about polyrhythms, master drummer techniques and texture.

This workshop requires the school/establishment to have some different sized drums and some basic hand held percussion instruments.

EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC
Seamlessly combine the art world with the world of sound and question your understanding of music. This workshop encourages participants to justify their artistic decisions on an emotional level and rethink the way way music is created and interpreted. Looking at graphic representatives of sound and breaking the musical rules, the sessions will leave participants with amazing soundscapes and more questions than answers.

SAMBA BATUCADA
Enjoy the feeling of Mardi Gras Carnival and get your whole body moving with the infectious beat of the Samba! Building on body percussion techniques, participants will learn about syncopation, non verbal musical communication and get to design their own drumming choreography.

This workshop requires the school/establishment to have some different sized drums and some basic hand held percussion instruments.

COMPOSITION
Composition sessions are extremely variable and can be tailored to the needs of the group depending on age, musical level and size of group. Writing a piece of music brings people together, helps communication skills and flexes that creative muscle.

SONGWRITING
More suited to secondary school students and adults, this sessions can focus on a theoretical or holistic approach as required. No previous knowledge or experience is required, anyone can write a song when they know how!
